Supplemental life
Money for the people who count on you. Term and whole life options, often with no medical exam, and you can keep the coverage if you leave your job.
Prairie Benefits ND · Fargo & all of North Dakota
Health insurance pays the hospital. Supplemental life, accident, disability and critical illness coverage pays you, so the bills at home get paid too. I help employees and employers across North Dakota set it up, usually right through payroll.

Why it matters
When someone gets hurt or gets a serious diagnosis, the hospital bill is only part of it. There is the deductible, time off work, driving to appointments, childcare, and the regular bills that keep coming either way.
Supplemental coverage pays cash directly to you, no matter what your health insurance does. You decide how to use it. Most plans cost a few dollars a paycheck, and you can keep them if you change jobs.
What I can help you with
You only need what fits your situation. We will go through each option together, and if something is not worth it for you, I will tell you.
Money for the people who count on you. Term and whole life options, often with no medical exam, and you can keep the coverage if you leave your job.
Pays set cash amounts for ER visits, X-rays, stitches, broken bones and follow-up care after a covered accident. A good fit for active families and anyone with a high deductible.
Replaces part of your paycheck if an illness or injury keeps you from working. Of everything I offer, this is the one people are most glad they had.
A one-time cash payment when you are diagnosed with a covered condition like a heart attack, stroke or cancer. It lets you focus on getting better.
A set benefit for each day you are in the hospital, including ICU, plus outpatient surgery. For most people it covers the deductible they would otherwise put on a credit card.
Cancer coverage that helps with screenings and treatment costs, plus dental and vision plans for the routine care that adds up over a year.
How it works
Most conversations take about 20 minutes. Employers can offer all of this to their people at no cost to the organization.
Fill out the short form below. Where you work, who depends on you, and what you are thinking about is plenty to get started.
A phone call, a video chat, or I drive out and we sit down together. Anywhere in North Dakota. I explain what each option pays and what it costs per paycheck, and you ask whatever you want.
Enrollment takes a few minutes, usually through payroll deduction. And when you need to file a claim, you call me. Not a 1-800 number.
Why work with Dan
Prairie Benefits ND is me, Dan Aubol. I have spent nine years in outside sales, and the last five focused on employee benefits for public sector accounts across North Dakota. Cities, counties, school districts, and the people who keep them running.
There have been a lot of miles, a lot of walk-ins, and a lot of early mornings along the way. What I have learned is that this business comes down to trust. You earn it by showing up, being straight with people, and taking care of them after the paperwork is done.
I grew up in Big Lake, Minnesota, went to North Dakota State University, and Fargo has been home ever since. When a client calls, they get me.
“My goal is always to serve with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.”
Who I work with
Teachers, city and county staff, first responders, and state workers. Coverage that works alongside the plan you already have and comes right out of your paycheck.
Add a solid voluntary benefits package at no cost to your budget. I handle the education and the enrollment, in person or online, for any size team.
Self-employed, between jobs, or you just want a second opinion on what you already have. A review is free, and it usually turns up a gap or two.

Questions
If yours is not here, ask in the form and I will answer it myself.
Health insurance pays doctors and hospitals. It does not pay your deductible, replace lost wages, or cover gas and childcare while you recover. Supplemental coverage pays cash to you for those things.
It depends on the coverage and your age, but most people land on plans that run a few dollars per paycheck. You will see exact numbers before you decide anything.
Often no. Many plans offered through an employer have limited or no health questions during enrollment. I will tell you which ones apply to you.
Most of these policies go with you. You keep them at the same rate by paying the premium directly instead of through payroll.
Nothing. Voluntary benefits are paid by the employee through payroll deduction. I handle the education, the enrollment, and the service afterward, so your HR team does not take on more work.
I get your details right away and reach out the same business day, however you asked me to. There is no obligation, and I do not share your information with anyone.
